Bella Vista Gisborne supports a local grassroot initiative, Tairawhiti Environmental Centre. Its vision is to improve the Tairawhiti environment for the people and native wildlife by providing information, inspiration, education, advocacy and support. We will donate $1 each time you ask us not to service your room. We collected over $1000 last year alone to support this worthy cause.
Bella Vista Gisborne also supports a few local charities, such as SPCA, Salvation Army, and Hospice.

The few initiatives we are undertaking to be a sustainable business includes:
Recycling and minimising waste, source supplies from sustainable producers, installed water conservation devices in all rooms, planted native plants to attract native birds, using energy saving light bulbs, and support a local environmental initiative.
