General Pet-Friendly Accommodation Guidelines

Across our network of dog-friendly motels in New Zealand, the following guidelines usually apply:

• Pets are not allowed on motel beds or furniture.
• Pets must be supervised and not left alone in rooms (unless by arrangement).
• Owners must clean up after pets and are responsible for any damage.
• Dogs must be kept on a lead in outdoor areas.
• A nightly or per-stay pet cleaning fee may apply.
   

The decision to accept pets, and any associated charges, remains at the discretion of each local owner. Many Bella Vista motels across New Zealand remain non pet friendly accommodation options.

• Ashburton Bella vista has four downstairs rooms allocated for pets.
• $15 per pet, per night (prior approval required).
• Aggressive breeds not permitted.
• Pets must have own bedding; no access to motel furniture.
• Pets not to be left unattended in rooms.
• Leash required outdoors; owners responsible for cleaning up.
• Shedding breeds not permitted; pets must be registered and flea-treated.
