Our Te Anau Motel is easy to find on Mokoroa Street, just two hours' drive from Queenstown and two hours drive north of Invercargill. Situated in a quiet location, adjacent to a park and the closest motel to the town centre, we are just a few minutes stroll from the lakefront.
We have ample safe parking so you can leave your car and explore on foot. Te Anau, the gateway to Fiordland, is a great location to base yourself for easy access to some of New Zealand's most famous walks in the Fiordland National Park. It is also the perfect place to start a visit to Milford Sound or Doubtful Sound. There is a wide range of other activities from jet boating the Waiau River to scenic flights available and can all be booked at our Te Anau motel.

Michael and Mina's journey to Te Anau began in early 2014, when they relocated to this picturesque town in New Zealand's South Island. Nestled on the edge of Lake Te Anau and serving as a gateway to Fiordland National Park, Te Anau offers a serene environment complemented by a vibrant outdoor lifestyle. Over the past decade, Michael and Mina have immersed themselves in the local community, embracing the region's natural beauty and outdoor activities. Michael brings over 15 years of experience in hotel and motel operations, having honed his skills in various establishments. Mina has been working in the hospitality industry since 2013, contributing her expertise to enhance guest experiences.
Together, they have become integral members of Te Anau's hospitality scene, combining their professional backgrounds with a genuine passion for the area's offerings. Their story is one of dedication to both their craft and the community they now call home.

Our Community Involvement
We aim to give back to the community by providing support to local schools and community organisations through sponsorship, donation of equipment, resources & ex motel stock, We make donations to help with the running of Te Anau Bird Sanctuary. We support Fiordland Trails Trust for local muti use trails. We’ve been the accommodation provider in Te Anau for Southland Recycling truck drivers for many years. We showcase high levels of environmental consciousness and social awareness. We aim to communicate our policy through training our employees, contractors, suppliers and guests to make them aware of the impact that each and every one of us has upon Te Anau and surrounding districts.
